FAQ: What about the wrinkles with a cloth background. The answer is do you want them to show or not. If you want the textured, wrinkled background to show in the picture, you would put the subject closer to the background and or use a smaller f-stop like f8 or f11. You can also use backlights positioned closer and off to the side of the background to show the texture, wrinkles. If you don't want the texture/wrinkles to show just move your subject further away from the background, usually 4-6 feet from it, and use a wider open f-stop like f4 or f5.6. The trick is to use the texture to your advantage and not think of it as a problem.
